City Arts Grants

The City Arts Grants program is designed to provide financial support for arts programs and projects in Salt Lake City that merit public funding. There are five City Arts Grants Categories, each with its own eligibility standards, guidelines, and review criteria.

The Salt Lake City Arts Council board members appreciate the hard work and creative spirit of the arts community and are strong advocates for support through the City Arts Grants program. Because City Arts Grants are supported with public tax dollars, the board places a priority on those programs that best reflect the Arts Council's mission and serve the residents of Salt Lake City. City Arts Grants can support only those programs and projects which take place within Salt Lake City limits.

Grant Year 2012-2013
General Support Grants	General Support grants assist arts organizations with general operating expenses and the continuation or expansion of arts programming for the citizens of Salt Lake.	Guidelines for 2012-2013	Deadline: Monday, June 11, 2012 5:00 p.m.
Project Support Grants	Project Support grants are awarded to individuals, groups and nonprofit organizations for specific art projects and programs such as exhibits, concerts, festivals or workshops.	Guidelines for 2012-2013	Deadline: Monday, June 11, 2012 5:00 p.m.
Mini Grants	Mini Grants are available only to nonprofit organizations. In general, grant awards will be $500 or less. Artist-in-the-Classroom	Artist-in-the-Classroom grants are limited to elementary schools affiliated with the Salt Lake City School District. Funds awarded in this category are available for artists' fees and supplies for artists' residencies. Arts Learning Grants	Arts Learning grants are available to artists and nonprofits providing quality arts activities that reach youth of all means, backgrounds and abilities, ages 5-18 in Salt Lake City. 2. Read the guidelines thoroughly. To find the guidelines, click the "Available" link in the guidelines column.
