Energy - Conservation, Efficiency and Alternative Sources

Fossil fuels—coal, oil, and natural gas—currently provide nearly two-thirds of our electricity, and virtually all of our transportation fuels. Energy generation from fossil fuels is the single largest man-made source of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), which contributes to climate change and health impacts from air pollution. However, wind, sun, geothermal, and biofuels are rapidly becoming viable alternative energy resources. There are numerous energy efficiency programs and incentives that make conservation an economically sensible choice.
